The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken Book Review!

Rating: 10/10
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something alarming enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that gets her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that’s killed most of America’s children, but she and the others have emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they cannot control.

Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones.

When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. Now she’s on the run, desperate to find the one safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents.

When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at a life worth living.

So awesome! It was totally thrilling and Heart-breaking the whole way through!
VERY ENJOYABLE! Made me feel sad and awesome at the same time!
Anyway, it's a fantastic book about a virus that causes humans to gain powers (similar to Blackout by Robinson Wells) so of course, it's gonna be awesome!
I AM ABSOLUTELY DYING TO READ THE SEQUEL!
Maybe I can get my hands on an ARC and review it for you guys! (Fingers crossed)
Look for Never Fade in November 2013!

YOU WONT WANT TO MISS IT!

Mind Games by Kiersten White Book Review!

Rating: 10/10
Mind games by Kiersten White (author of Paranormalcy trilogy and The Chaos of Stars)

Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways…or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

In a stunning departure from her New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy, Kiersten White delivers a slick, edgy, heartstoppingly intense psychological thriller about two sisters determined to protect each other—no matter the cost.

The Fall of Five by Pittacus Lore Book Review!

Rating: 1000/10

Pittacus Lore

The Garde are finally reunited, but do they have what it takes to win the war against the Mogadorians?

John Smith—Number Four—thought that things would change once the Garde found each other. They would stop running. They would fight the Mogadorians. And they would win.

But he was wrong. After facing off with the Mogadorian ruler and almost being annihilated, the Garde know they are drastically unprepared and hopelessly outgunned.
Now they’re hiding out in Nine’s Chicago penthouse, trying to figure out their next move.

The six of them are powerful, but they’re not strong enough yet to take on an entire army—even with the return of an old ally. To defeat their enemy, the Garde must master their Legacies and learn to work together as a team. More importantly, they’ll have to discover the truth about the Elders and their plan for the Loric survivors.

And when the Garde receive a sign from Number Five—a crop circle in the shape of a Loric symbol—they know they are so close to being reunited. But could it be a trap? Time is running out, and the only thing they know for certain is that they have to get to Five before it’s too late.

The Garde may have lost battles, but they will not lose this war.

Lorien will rise again.

THIS SERIES IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!

The Fall of Five is the AMAZING fourth book in the Lorien Legacies series!
In case you haven't read the previous books, it's an epic series about aliens with supernatural powers on Earth, running from the powerful aliens that destroyed their planet. They have to fight to survive.

The fourth book is my favorite! These amazing books just keep getting better and better! So many heart-wrenching scenes! It is absolutely driving me nuts not knowing what happens next! The book is a total cliffhanger! So prepare yourselves!

Did I mention it had NON STOP plot twists and action?? WELL, IT DOES! This series is definitely in my top ten!
Nothing has been released for the next book, but I'll keep you posted!

Look for The Fall of Five wherever books are sold!

Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi Book Review!

Rating: 8/10
Shatter Me by Taherah Mafi
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Shatter Me was just as good as I was expecting, which was pretty awesome! It was very strange at times, but that might just be me! It's so cool how it's all written like she's writing in her journal the whole time or something. I LOVED THAT! It was so new to me! The only thing that I didn't really like about this book is that it seemed like Adam and Juliette just kissed for like half the book. Don't get me wrong, romance is good for books, but this just seemed like overkill to me. It was like non-stop! But again, that could just be me!
It was a great, fast read! You should definitely check it out and let me know what you thought!
It's sequel, Unravel Me, is out and the conclusion to this epic trilogy Ignite Me will be released in 2014! (There is also Destroy Me, a Shatter Me story).
Give me feedback! Too much kissing? Just enough? I want to know what you think!

Pulse by Patrick Carman Book Review!

Rating: 10/10
Pulse by Patrick Carman

The year is 2051, and the world is still recognizable. With the help of her mysterious classmate Dylan Gilmore, Faith Daniels discovers that she can move objects with her mind. This telekinetic ability is called a “pulse,” and Dylan has the talent, too.

In riveting action scenes, Faith demonstrates her ability to use her pulse against a group of telekinesis masters so powerful they will flatten their enemies by uprooting street lights, moving boulders, and changing the course of a hurtling hammer so that it becomes a deadly weapon. But even with great talent, the mind—and the heart—can be difficult to control. If Faith wants to join forces with Dylan and save the world, she’ll have to harness the power of both.

Guys, I know I say this a lot, but this book was AMAZING! Just stunning! Patrick wrote this so different from any book I've ever written. Seriously! That's a very good thing, by the way! The while story was so captivating and riveting, I couldn't put it down!

The way he made up the 'Pulse' was so cool and, to me, very original! Plus, the plot was not at all predictable! There were a lot of moments when you knew something was about to happen right then, but not things in the far future of the book! It was also terribly heart-wrenching, but in an omigosh-it-hurts-so-much-that-I-can't-stop-reading-it way.
But guess what? It doesn't end here! It's another brilliant trilogy to fangirl over! The next book is called Tremor! (Cover has been released as well)
Hopefully, I'll be able to snag a review copy of it and review it and such! (Fingers crossed)

This concludes my adding-another-book-to-your-TBR-list-again moment!

Look for Pulse in a bookstore near you!
Tremor is expected to arrive February 14, 2014!

The Paradox of Vertical Flight by Emil Ostrovski Book Review!

Rating: 8/10
The Paradox of Vertical Flight by Emil Ostrovski (debut)
Expected Publication: September 2013

On the morning of his eighteenth birthday, philosophy student and high school senior Jack Polovsky is somewhat seriously thinking of suicide when his cell phone rings. Jack's ex-girlfriend, Jess, has given birth, and Jack is the father. Jack hasn't spoken with Jess in about nine months—and she wants him to see the baby before he is adopted. The new teenage father kidnaps the baby, names him Socrates, stocks up on baby supplies at Wal-Mart, and hits the road with his best friend, Tommy, and the ex-girlfriend. As they head to Grandma's house (eluding the police at every turn), Jack tells baby Socrates about Homer, Troy, Aristotle, the real Socrates, and the Greek myths—because all stories spring from those stories, really. Even this one. Funny, heart-wrenching, and wholly original, this debut novel by Emil Ostrovski explores the nature of family, love, friendship, fate, fatherhood, and myth.

If you're a John Green fan, you are guaranteed to enjoy this book! It is a really fast read, but it has an attention-grabbing plot!
Jack, as a character is kinda reckless but relatable in a sense. He's not a very good guy, but he tries to do right when he can.
Jess is just a crazy chick.
Besides the strong language, I really loved this book! Plus, it's philosophically educational!

The Eye of Minds by James Dashner!

Rating: 10/10
The Eye of Minds by James Dashner
Expected Publication: October 8, 2013

Michael is a gamer. And like most gamers, he almost spends more time on the VirtNet than in the actual world. The VirtNet offers total mind and body immersion, and it’s addictive. Thanks to technology, anyone with enough money can experience fantasy worlds, risk their life without the chance of death, or just hang around with Virt-friends. And the more hacking skills you have, the more fun. Why bother following the rules when most of them are dumb, anyway?

But some rules were made for a reason. Some technology is too dangerous to fool with. And recent reports claim that one gamer is going beyond what any gamer has done before: he’s holding players hostage inside the VirtNet. The effects are horrific—the hostages have all been declared brain-dead. Yet the gamer’s motives are a mystery.

The government knows that to catch a hacker, you need a hacker.
And they’ve been watching Michael. They want him on their team.
But the risk is enormous. If he accepts their challenge, Michael will need to go off the VirtNet grid. There are back alleys and corners in the system human eyes have never seen and predators he can’t even fathom—and there’s the possibility that the line between game and reality will be blurred forever.

Okay, so I'm a MAJOR fan of James Dashner already! The Maze Runner Trilogy just blew me away!
With that in mind, it will not surprise you to know that this book was just as good if not BETTER than Maze Runner! This is a super cool computer scifi story that will keep you at the edge of your seat. Anything could happen at any time!
It's a wild adventure through this virtual world to stop this serial killer. It gets creepy at times, and intoxicates you with it's awesomeness!

MUST READ FOR SURE!

Unbreathable by Hafsah Laziaf Book Review!

Unbreathable by Hafsah Laziaf (debut)
Expected Publication: October 29, 2013

One hundred and fifty years ago, Earth was destroyed, and the remaining humans fled to the dusty red planet of Jutaire, where the only oxygen is manufactured, food is scarce, and death strikes often.

When Lissa's father discovers Earth still exists, she accidentally inhales the toxic air of Jutaire, and in one breath, discovers she isn't quite human.

Her father hangs for his discovery, and Lissa knows the Chancellors will come for her, for she saw the Earth that night too. With nothing to lose, she sets out to expose the truth. It isn't long before she meets Julian, a beautiful boy who can breathe the toxic air like she can - and shows her that the Jute, the original inhabitants of the planet, are more tangled in their lives than she knows.

But the Chancellors are only pawns in a greater game - one where the Jute control everything. Worse, the Jute plan to leave Jutaire for Earth, but to get there, they need her. And they'll stop at nothing until Lissa is in their clutches, even if they kill every human in the process.

The race for Earth has begun.

THIS BOOK ROCKED! The first time I started reading this book was also my last, because I just couldn't stop reading! It has tons of action and plenty of romance and drama as well! And the plot is amazing and original but also easy to understand and keep up with! Plus, the author who wrote this book is just AWESOME!
Follow her on Twitter @IceyBooks! You guys will not want to miss this debut!

Happy reading!

Blackout by Robinson Wells Book Review!

Rating: 9/10

Laura and Alec are trained terrorists.

Jack and Aubrey are high school students.

There was no reason for them to ever meet.

But now, a mysterious virus is spreading throughout America, infecting teenagers with impossible powers. And these four are about to find their lives intertwined in a complex web of deception, loyalty, and catastrophic danger—where one wrong choice could trigger an explosion that ends it all.

I haven't read any of Robinson Wells' other books, but this one was just AMAZING! This is definitely not your typical 'teens with powers' book! I just love how this author ties together both sides of the story! It is a brilliant blend of action, plot, and drama that just makes you want to read more! I look forward to reading the sequel! (I might also read his other series)

Look for Blackout on the shelves in October!
