Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Shatter Me was just as good as I was expecting, which was pretty awesome! It was very strange at times, but that might just be me! It's so cool how it's all written like she's writing in her journal the whole time or something. I LOVED THAT! It was so new to me! The only thing that I didn't really like about this book is that it seemed like Adam and Juliette just kissed for like half the book. Don't get me wrong, romance is good for books, but this just seemed like overkill to me. It was like non-stop! But again, that could just be me!
It was a great, fast read! You should definitely check it out and let me know what you thought!
It's sequel, Unravel Me, is out and the conclusion to this epic trilogy Ignite Me will be released in 2014! (There is also Destroy Me, a Shatter Me story).
Give me feedback! Too much kissing? Just enough? I want to know what you think!

Wooot! Great review :) And now it seems like I'm the only person who has yet to read these books. *hangs head*
ReplyDeleteWith you on the kissing...but still LOVE the book! The problem for me wasn't the kissing, but the fact that they were like,"Hey! You are my friend from school. I am in love with you. Let's kiss for 45 pages!" Her descriptions of their kisses also made it more of a big deal. I've never heard that many different adjectives used for various kissing scenes. Lol.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, I love the theme and the book. I also enjoyed the marked out sentences. Really awesome writing technique. Do you have Unravel Me?
